Alright, here goes nothing...
I was born and raised in Wyoming and moved to Wisconsin in early summer of 2012. Looking back it was a pretty gutsy move for someone who’s not spontaneous at all. A few months after moving here I stumbled across Anne’s salon website and immediately knew that’s where I wanted to work.
Thankfully we all became fast friends which then turned into family. They put up with my weird quirks and I would even go as far as saying they love me for them. Working at the salon really grew my confidence in a lot of ways and is kind of where I fell back in love with art.
Art was always my favorite subject in school but over the years I had kind of gotten away from it. Working as a nail tech for my creative aide to come back out and then when the pandemic hit I needed to find something to do for myself. I needed consistency and an activity to give me purpose which is why I took a leap and decided to give the dot mandala’s a shot.
Who would have guessed back in March I would fall in love with not only this style of art , but the way it made me feel. Any anxiety melts away when I get in the zone of a new piece and it has kind of become like therapy for me.
The past 6+ months has been a wild ride and I can’t wait to see where it takes us. That being said... get in, we’re going creating!
